Modern Foreign Languages

At Redbridge High School we offer Spanish at different stages through each pupil’s school career. The course is adapted to suit each learner’s ability level so that some will access a more culture oriented program focusing on music, art and celebrations while others will develop language and communication skills.

Topics covered in the scheme of work include – Getting to know you, All about me, Time, Colours, Animals, Weather, Transport and Food.

In conjunction with our Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, we have established an annual trip abroad to either France or Spain which gives the pupils their chance not only to practise their language skills but also to experience another culture and to grow in independence.
